Nigerian player who models his game around Neymar bags brace

Chukwubuike Adamu might be playing for Austria at youth level, he remains eligible to defend the colours of Nigeria at the senior cadre.

The striker continued his development with a brace in the Swiss Super League on Saturday night.

Adamu who is on loan to St. Gallen from Red Bull Salzburg netted has been a terror to defenders in the Swiss top flight.

He netted a brace as St. Gallen annihilated Lausanne 5-0 in the week 35 game at Kybunpark.

The attacker who was born in Kano drew the first blood on 21 minutes.

Four minutes later, Adamu increased the lead for St.Gallen who were ruthless at home.

Thody Elie Youan then added to the misery of Lausanne with the third goal of the game.

In the 51st minute, Thody Elie Youan also got his brace to make the scoreline 4-0.

A 59th minute spot kick from Victor Ruiz further humiliated the visitors.

Chukwubuike Adamu was subbed off some minutes after the hour mark.

The 19-year-old started his career with the youth team of GSV Wacker.

In September 2017, he was for the first time part of the FC Liefering squad. He also debuted for the Salzburg UEFA Youth League team, as he came in versus Girondins Bordeaux for Nicolas Meister.

He made his professional debut playing for FC Liefering against WSG Wattens in November 2018 as he came in for Karim Adeyemi.

On February 15, 2021, Adamu moved on loan to Swiss Super League team FC St. Gallen

The forward who models his game around Neymar is still eligible to represent Nigeria at the senior level despite playing for Austria at the U18, U19 and U21 level.
