Taiwo Awoniyi has been granted a work permit by the UK government, according to goal. The Nigerian received the permit to work in England six years after joining the Reds.
The Nigerian striker joined Liverpool in 2015 following an impressive display at the 2013 FIFA U-17 World cup in UAE. He joined from Imperial Soccer Academy in Lagos.
On his arrival, Awoniyi was loaned to FSV Frankfurt in Germany. In Germany, he made thirteen appearances and scored a goal. Returning to Liverpool, Awoniyi went on loan to NEC, Royal Mouscron, Gent, Mainz, and Union Berlin.
Awoniyi has been on form since joining Union Berlin, scoring five goals in twenty appearances before getting injured.
The news is a good one for the 23-year-old because it allows him to prove himself to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
