Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has been nominated for the 2020/2021 Belgian League Player of the Season award following an impressive season with Racing Genk.
The Nigerian striker joined the Belgian club in 2019 after impressing with Midtjylland in Denmark. While Denmark, Paul Onuachu played 134 games and scored 51 goals.
He struggled in his first season in Belgian, scoring nine goals, creating one assist in twenty-two games.
Onuachu will compete for the 2020/21 Pro Footballer of the Year award with Club Brugges Dutchman Noa Lang and Beerschot’s forward Raphael Holzhauser.
The Nigerian striker is the favourite to win the award – with Noa Lang scoring sixteen goals, providing seven assists in twenty-nine games – while Raphael Holzhauser scored sixteen goals and assist in thirty-four games.
Paul Onuachu, however, scored thirty-three goals, five assists in thirty-eight games.
