Atalanta have reportedly joined Fiorentina in the race to sign Crotone striker Simy Nwankwo.
The 28-year-old has been a standout performer for the Serie A side in recent season and his form has been recognised at international level, with Gernot Rohr handing him a recall.
Fiorentina are believed to be preparing an offer for the lanky forward, however Futbalgalore.com.ng claim that Atalanta have now registered their interest in the striker.
The report also states that the Italian outfit will only consider selling their star player if a bid in the region of €10m were to be tabled by any interested parties.
Atalanta will only make an offer for Simy this summer if they can make room in the striking position with a sale.
Simy enjoyed a brilliant 2020-21 campaign for Crotone, scoring 37 goals and providing four assists in 20 appearances across all competitions.
