Super Eagles dazzler Moses Simon was impressive for Nantes on Thursday night, in their 2-1 away victory over Toulouse FC, in the first leg of the French Ligue 1 qualification.
The former Levante who models his game around Cristiano Ronaldo retained his spot in coach Antoine Kombouare led team and he helped the team to a remarkable victory over their opponent to boost their survival hope.
Moses Simon started in the away team’s attacking midfield alongside Ludovic Blas and Randal Kolo Muani, and the trio were exceptional in the entertaining encounter.
Ludovic Blas opened scoring for the away team in the 10th minutes, after receiving an assist from Nigerian star Moses Simon, and Deiver Machado equalized for the home team in the 19th minutes, before Randal Kolo Muani scored in the 22nd minutes, to end the first half 2-1.
Both teams efforts to score more goals in the second half of the game were not successful, as the match ended 2-1.
Moses Simon was outstanding for Nantes FC in the game, and he was able to mark his impressive performance with an assist before he was replaced by Andrei Girotto in the 79th minutes of the game.
The victory over Toulouse FC has now given Antoine Kombouare led Nantes football club the edge ahead of the return leg in few days time.
