Rueben Bala – Enyimba

A good performance with one goal from five shots on target. He tried to fish out fly faeces from black pepper and was impossible to pick up. Scintillating.

Tope Olusesi – Rangers

With movement an indispensable element of his game he completely controlled the midfield. Piercing.

Joseph Onoja – Rivers United

A key cog in the Rivers United dream machine that wasn’t shaded by his teammates. He showed his full range of terrific trickery and scored a gorgeous goal. Menacing.

Efe Yarhere – Warri Wolves

With the match winner, 39-year-old Efe Yarhere was another true star of the show. Lobi Stars had no answer to him and he had their defenders leaping around like mixed maggots in boiling butter. Magnificent.

Isaac George – Dakkada FC

A real menace and scored a brace, exemplifying his all-round performance for Dakkada FC. Motivated.

Tosin Omoyele – Enyimba

Scoring a goal and providing an assist, moving gloriously at the ‘speed of light in a vacuum that was independent of the motion of the observers’. Relativistic.
