Austria striker Adrian Grbic blamed his lack of game time at Lorient on the presence of Terem Moffi in the squad. The young striker was signed from Clemont at ten million euros in the summer of 2020.
Speaking to APA, Grbic said the club told him the Nigerian striker would become a backup to him, and he would not enjoy much playing time.
However, the performance of the Moffi changed the situation. Grbic did not get playing time despite his attitude and performance in training.
“When Moffi came, I was told not to stress. He would not play many games. I was able to train well, but it did not change anything.
Grbic revealed that he did not want to cause any problems because the team was fighting for relegation but hopes the situation changes in the coming season.
“We were in a relegation battle, and I did not want to cause any problems. I was left alone. They ruined my year.
“I do not wish this on anyone. It will be difficult to work together again. I hope next season will be better wherever it is.
