Former Golden Eaglets goalkeeper Daniel Jinadu has signed for Championship side Barnsley the club confirmed on their official website. 

The Nigerian goalkeeper joined Barnsley from West Ham following a successful trial with the Championship club. Jinadu kept two clean sheets for the U-23’s against Ipswich Town and Millwall.

After the trial, Barnsley signed Jinadu on a one-year contract, and – he would be part of the U-23 side for the 2021/2022 Professional Development League campaign while also providing competition for the first team.

The former Eaglets goalkeeper is excited with the new club and believes it is an opportunity to take his career to the next level. 

“I’m delighted to have signed. Just to be at such a great club, and have the opportunity to continue my career and take the next stage of my career, be at this club and do that.

“Being behind the likes of great goalkeepers like Brad Collins and Jack Walton, being here and being able to learn from them and experience them is just amazing so I’m really happy to be here.
