Young Nigerian defender Tobi Omole has signed a contract extension with Tottenham Hotspur, the club confirmed on their official website.
Omole’s contract is set to expire at the end of the 2020/2021 season, but the Premier League club decided to keep him for the upcoming season.
Tottenham confirmed the announcement while announcing their retained and released players, with Tosin Omole’s name appearing on the list of players that were retained.
The Nigerian descent youngster earned the contract extension for his performance for the Tottenham U-23 side in the Premier League 2.
He featured in two games to help the U-23 side finish below Manchester City and Chelsea on the league table. They finished with thirty-eight points from twenty-four games.
He joined Tottenham from Arsenal following a successful trial.
Tosin is not the only Nigerian youngster that was retained by Tottenham, with Kion Etete, Jubril Okedina, Joshua Oluwayemi, and Timothy Eyoma also making the list.
