News of the death of popular Prophet, TB Joshua has dominated the internet space. He died after church service on Saturday 5th June.

Temitope Balogun Joshua was born June 12, 1963) he was a Nigerian charismatic pastor, televangelist and philanthropist.

The Ondo born Prophet was the leader and founder of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN), a Christian megachurch that runs the Emmanuel TV television station from Lagos.

Ghanaian human rights lawyer Kwabla Senanu, musician Denise Williams, veteran Nigerian Nollywood actress Camilla Mberekpe, popular Nollywood actor Jim Iyke and Kenyan Olympic athlete Mercy Cherono received healings from the Arigidi Akoko born Evangelist.

Ghana’s former president, John Atta Mills, was a prominent follower and friend of the Synagogue Church of All Nations. So was Winnie Mandela.

Nigerian actress Camilla Mberekpe, Super Eagles energetic midfielder, Ogeyi Onazi have all given testimonies of how interaction with Prophet TB Joshua influenced their lives positively.

Other prominent visitors to The SCOAN in the past have included John Magufuli, Morgan Tsvangarai and Julius Malema.

Indeed the man of God impacted positively in the lives of many people during his time on Earth.

With that in mind we take a look at five Footballers who received healing from the late TB Joshua.

5. Knowledge Musona – Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe’s Knowledge Musona received “instant healing” for an injury which his Belgian club’s doctors had said might require surgery in 2019. Musona had suffered from an ankle injury for five years. The striker refused the surgery the doctor suggested, he ran to The SCOAN for divine restoration and was healed instantly.

The Eupen man lists Manyame, Haka United, Aces Youth Soccer Academy, Kaizer Chiefs, 1899 Hoffenheim, Augsburg, Oostende, Anderlecht and Lokeren as his former clubs.

4. Jaco van der Westhuyzen – South Africa

Former Springbok rugby star Jaco van der Westhuyzen claimed his career threatening knee ligament injury was miraculously healed immediately following prayers rendered by the man of God.

The Tri Nations winner was on the payroll of University of Natal, Sharks, Pumas, Bulls, Leicester Tigers and NEC Green Rockets before retirement.

3. Joseph Yobo – Nigeria

Media reports in some quarters claimed that Super Eagles assistant coach Joseph Yobo went to Synagogue church when he had hamstring injury ahead of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations.

The charismatic Yobo featured in the colours of Standard Liège, Marseille, Everton, Fenerbahce and Norwich City. He was capped 101 times at international level.

2. Taribo West – Nigeria

In the past, former AC Milan and Inter Milan defender Taribo West was spotted receiving his healing from Pastor Joshua.

West also numbers Auxerre, Derby County, Al Arabia, Partizan Belgrade as his former teams.

1. Angel Gomes – England

Forward Angel Gomes was seen in a video which dates as far back as 2016 being ministered to by the founder and leader of SCOAN.

In the video, the Footballer lamented over the frequent injuries he sustained on his hips, groin, and ankles which consequentially affected his performance on the pitch.

After being touched by Joshua, the skillful lad said he felt a little shock and he received healing.

The 20-year-old Englishman lists Manchester United as his former club. Gomez played on loan at Boavista from Lille during the 2020/21 season.
