Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has called up Vincent Onovo to replace William Troost-Ekong ahead of the friendly match against Cameroon on Tuesday.
The Super Eagles vice-captain got injured in a 1-0 loss to Cameroon in Austria on Friday, with Valentine Ozornwafor taking his place during the game.
According to reports, Vincent Onovo, who plays for Ujpest in the Hungarian league – is already in camp training – with the team.
The news confirmed the omission of the Watford defender for the second game against the Indomitable Lions on Tuesday, with Jamilu Collins also expected to miss the game.
The 25-year-old midfielder previously played for Finnish clubs Inter Turku and HJK Helsinki.
Vincent made twenty-nine league appearances and scored a goal.
