Portuguese side Benfica have decided to keep Tyronne Ebuhei for the upcoming 2021/2022 season. The fullback spent last season on loan at FC Twente with the Eredivisie side hoping to keep him for one more season.
According to twentefans.nl, Benfica are reluctant to let Ebuhei leave on loan for a second successive season. However, FC Twente are keen to bring him back for one more season.
To sign Ebuhei, Twente have to trigger the buy-clause in his deal. The buy-clause is around two million euros, but FC Twente want the price reduced due to financial constraints caused by the outbreak of coronavirus.
In the Eredivisie, Tyronne Ebuhei played thirty-three league games, created one assist, and scored one goal. His contract with The Eagles expires on June 30, 2023.
