Abia Warriors Chairman Pastor Emeka Inyama believes Gernot Rohr needs support to succeed as coach of the Super Eagles.
The German tactician was appointed as manager of the West Africans in 2016 and has made a meaningful contribution to the side since his arrival.
The 67-year-old guided the Super Eagles to the 2018 World Cup in Russia where they were eliminated at the group stage and led the side to finish third at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Pastor Inyama believes the German tactician can perform if backed.
“I had a chance meeting with Super Eagles handler Gernot Rohr at the office of General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation,” Pastor Inyama said.
“We had a good chat and took this pose for memory.”
Rohr impressed me with his grand ideas and expectations.”
“He needs our support and prayers always,” the astute Chairman added.
Rohr’s next challenge will be to steer the three-time African champions to the 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar with the qualifiers scheduled to begin in September.
