Pillars pip FC Ifeanyi Ubah to keep title dream alive

Kano Pillars are still in the hunt for the Nigeria Professional Football League title.

Sai Masu Gida beat the FC Ifeanyi Ubah 1-0 on Sunday at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium to apply pressure to the top two heading into the final nine games of the season.

Akwa United lost 1-0 to Katsina United at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, while Nasarawa United edged Rivers United 2-1.

On the final whistle today, Ibrahim Musa’s men sat a point behind Akwa United. FC Ifeanyi Ubah are mired in 17th.

The decisive goal came in the 36th minute through marksman David Ebuka Odenigbo. The striker took his goal with customary grace. He has scored four goals so far this Season.
