Osas Eghe Turns ‘Oliver Twist’ After Netting 4th Goal In 5 Matches

Osas Eghe produced a fantastic performance and match winner to help Kogi United pip Kebbi United 1-0 in the Nigeria National League on Saturday.

It was a well deserved victory for the Lokoja based side who played some lovely passing football at Confluence Stadium.

Speaking to Futbalgalore.com.ng, the Kogi United skipper was pleased with his side’s victory. “It was a good game, a good performance from the team.

“We were focused on winning this game. It is important because Kebbi United are good.”

The former Wikki Tourists midfielder was a constant threat to the Kebbi United goal and he struck his 4th from five matches this team.

“I am working hard every day,” he continued.

Eghe declared that he wants to score more goals.

“I am looking forward to scoring more goals and helping my team win games and I hope to help my team stay afloat. Scoring goals and creating goals are what I am looking forward to. Hopefully I can build on this; it’s going to be an interesting final bend.”

And the midfielder credited ever improving confidence as the key to his side’s victory. “I think we are winning with confidence,” he added. “Today (Saturday) we showed a bit more confidence to score a goal which is very good for us.”
