Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers scored twice as KRC Genk started their pre-season with an emphatic victory.
Dessers’ goals helped Genk dismantle lower-tier side Eendracht Termien 8-1 last weekend.
Both goals were well taken by the Nigeria international. Dessers hit the fourth and fifth goals respectively, with the fifth a half volley.
The 26-year-old will be an integral figure for the team as they travel to to continue their pre-season.
The former NAC Breda man will be hoping for consistent playing time in the coming season after struggling in the last campaign.
He played a total of 880 minutes in 32 games for Genk who finished second in the Belgian Pro League last season.
