Chukwuma Akabueze has joined Bandirmaspor on a free transfer ahead of the 2021/2022 Turkish First League season, Futbalgalore.com.ng reports.

Akabueze, 32, signed a one year deal at the 17 Eylül Stadium, Bandırma.

Last season the versatile Akabueze featured in 22 games for Ümraniyespor.

He was a member of the Nigerian team that took part at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada.

The attacking midfielder also had two caps for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, in which he scored a goal.

Chukwuma Akabueze was a former forward of Sunshine Stars, Kwara United and Rangers International FC before he moved to Odd Grenland, Norway, in July 2007.

He had also played for SK Brann in 2011, before moving to Chinese Super League club Wuhan Zall in 2013 and returning to Norway to play for Odds BK in 2014.

Akabueze also lists Boluspor as his former club.
