Nigerian born midfielder shines as Malmo roasts Sirius

Nigerian born midfielder Innocent Bonke was impressive as Malmo romped to a 4-0 win over Sirius in the Swedish Allsvenskan on Saturday, reports.

The energetic midfielder lasted the full match duration at Eleda Stadion.

He was a delight to watch donning jersey number 20.

Bonke, 25, joined Malmo in 2017 from Norwegian club Lillestrom and by the end of the year he will be free to talk to other clubs should Malmo not give him a new contract.

It will be recalled that the box to box midfielder said that he will be open for an extension, but would rather focus on doing the business again this season.

“Right now I only focus on my game and on the team,” he told Kvallposten.

“I respect the rest of my contract and I will do my job. My goal right now is to continue to win and do the right things.”

He added: It (an extension) depends on the club, but is my decision in the end.

“If it comes, it will come and then I have to make a decision together with my agent.”

He played 16 games as Malmo were crowned champions last season.
