Tony Edjomariegwe was on the scoresheet in Al-Merreikh’s CAF Champions League win in the qualification round.

The Sudanese giants recorded a 3-0 heavy home win over Zanaco at WE Al-Ahly Stadium (al-Qāhirah (Cairo)) on Saturday.

The 29-year-old left-wing broke the deadlock for the Sudanese side in the 49th minute of the game.

Ramadan Agab and Wagdi Alla added gloss to the first leg scoreline.

Edjomariegwe enjoyed the full throttle of the fixture with a sterling input.

The energetic footballer joined Al Merreikh on a free transfer after ending his stint at Moghreb Tétouan in 2019.

The speedy Edjomariegwe is yet to play for Nigeria at international level.

He lists Crown Ogbomosho, Kwara United, Shooting Stars, Nasarawa United, Kano Pillars and OC Safi as his former clubs.
