11 Super Eagles players took to the pitch to continue training on Sunday morning in Abuja, Futbalgalore.com.ng reports.

The team continued preparations for the 33rd Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in the nation’s Federal Capital Territory.

Coach Augustine Eguavoen and Paul Aigbogun supervised the training session.

The players started with simple jogging and exercises before starting the day’s activities. They continued by engaging in Handball drills.

The stars in camp are Moses Simon (FC Nantes, France), Francis Uzoho (AC Omonia, Cyprus), Henry Onyekuru (Olympiacos, Greece), Peter Olayinka (Slavia Praha, Czech Republic), Chidozie Awaziem (Alayanspor, Turkey), Chidera Ejuke (CSKA Moscow, Russia), Daniel Akpeyi (Kaizer Chiefs, South Africa), Sadiq Umar (UD Almeria, Spain), Olisa Ndah (Orlando Pirates, South Africa), John Noble (Enyimba FC, Nigeria) and Taiwo Awoniyi (Union Berlin, Germany).

As at the time of filing this report, the morning training was still going on in Abuja.

Coach Eguavoen will have a full house on Monday to continue with preparations with the team before they fly out to Cameroon.

Nigeria is in Group D alongside Egypt, Sudan and Guinea Bissau.

The Super Eagles will face North African side Egypt in the opening group D game in Garuoa on January 11.
