Nigeria’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) group opponents Sudan have held Zimbabwe to a 0-0 draw in their preparations for the tournament, reports.

Sudan were handed a very tough draw after being placed in Group D alongside Guinea-Bissau as well as Nigeria, and Egypt, who have 10 AFCONs between them.

The Falcons of Jediane are already gathered Cameroon for their pre-tournament training camp. Their first friendly match came against Ethiopia and they lost 3-2.

Sudan played their second warm up against the Warriors at Rain Forest International School Stadium (Yaoundé) on Sunday afternoon.

Both teams fielded strong starting line ups. However, the Falcons managed to hold Zimbabwe to a dull 0-0 away.

The Falcons will still play one last friendly before the start of the tournament and it will be against Sierra Leone.

The 2021 AFCON is set to take place between 9 January 2022 and 6 February 2022 across five cities in Cameroon.
