Czech Republic side Slovan Liberec have announced the signing of Nigerian winger Abubakar Ghali from AS Trencin.
The 21-year-old joins the Blue-whites on a two-and-half-year contract, for a fee close to €250,000.
He will be at Štadión u Nisy until June 30th, 2024.
During his time at Štadión Sihoť, he made 58 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists
Ghali joined Trencin from MFM FC shortly after he helped Nigeria win silver medal at 2019 African games in Morocco.
He was controversially omitted from Nigeria’s squad to the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland.
“I am happy to have signed a contract with Slovan Liberec,” Ghali said after signing the contract.
“Thank you for the chance. I look forward to joining the team.
“It is an honor for me and I hope that it is also a good step for my football career,” he added.
