Feelers from around Napoli and Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen indicate that Real Madrid are considering grabbing the leggy forward who has been compared with French star Kylian Mbappe.
The Paris Saint Germain striker was chased throughout the outgoing season by Real Madrid but Spanish giants failed to land the 23-year old.
And desperate to sign a Galactico in the coming season, the Champions League finalist are turning to Bayern Munich forward, Robert Lewandowski who will be 34 by August 21.
Carlo Ancelotti the manager of Real Madrid who maintains a strong relationship with football managers and agents in his home country Italy is being convinced to sign 23-year Osimhen instead of Lewandowski who is older by 11 years.
Ancelotti is asked to consider the fact that Arsenal, Manchester United, Newcastle and West Ham United are already talking with Osimhen’s agent on a possible move out of Italy.
Ancelotti is equally convinced about needing a black upfront who has all the energy and athleticism to poach the goals required by the team and to assist the other strikers. Focus for Real Madrid is on pace, power and goals.
This was the reason behind the choice of Mbappe but PSG won’t let him go. Attention now shifts to Lewandowski and the consideration of Osimhen.
A reliable source around Osimhen says, “Real Madrid are making very positive move to sign Victor (Osimhen). Though, Lewandowski is their target after failing to get Mbappe. But age favours Victor and that’s what they are considering at the moment. We are just praying and hopeful that this becomes a reality.”
