With the victory, Nigeria stay at the summit of Group A with six points and a healthy goal difference.
Sierra Leone forced Guinea-Bissau to a 2-2 draw in Freetown to pick up their first point of the qualifying campaign.
Guinea-Bissau, however, sit second behind the Super Eagles on four points, having humbled Sao Tome and Principe 5-1 on matchday one.
