Niger State representatives to this years Aiteo Cup competition have been showered with cash gifts courtesy of Niger State Football Association.

The winners of this years Niger State Aiteo Cup competition Niger Tornadoes FC went home with N500,000,00, runners up Niger Tornadoes Feeder Team, N300,000,00 and the only State Female Football team, the Niger Amazon recieved the sum of N200,000,00, while Nurudeen Jimoh who was voted the most valuable player in the finals was presented with cash gift of N25,000,00. the donantions were made shortly after the final of this years Niger State Aiteo Cup competition played at the Late Bako Kontagora Stadium Minna, where the eventual winners and State Darling Team Niger Tornadoes FC defeated hard fighting Tornadoes Feeder Team by a lone goal, courtesy of Ahmadu Liman’s second half solitary goal.

The three teams, Niger Tornadoes FC, Niger Tornadoes Feeder Team and Niger Amazon will represent the State at this years Aiteo Federation Cup.

This years final like any other final before, was witnessed by creme de la creme of Niger State Football having in attendance the leadership of Niger State Ministry Of Youth and Sports Development, led by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Comr. Yunusa D Tanimu and Director Sports Alh. Baba Sheshi who were hosted by the indefatigable and illustrious Comrade Ahmed Yusuf (Fresh), the long standing Chairman Niger State Football Association and NFF chieftain.

Awards of recognition were presented to deserving & distinguished personalities who have contributed immensely to the growth and development of football in Niger State. The personalities includes; Hon. Adamu Aliyu Mohammed, Chairman Niger Tornadoes Management Committee, Alh. Mustapha Gawu, former Chairman Niger Tornadoes Management Committee, Alh. Mukhtari Shehu (Wonder) Former Vice Chairman Niger State Football Association, Engr. Ibrahim Dada Football philanthropist, FIFA License Agent & NFF Intermediary and Chairman Maikunkele United, Coach Isah Ladan Bosso, President Nigeria Football Coaches Association, Head Coach Nigeria National U20 Flying Eagles. Other award recipients also included, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Youth & Sports Development and Director of Sports respectively.

The giant and 2022 Niger State Aiteo trophy was presented to the Niger Tornadoes Captain Sunday Akinmoladun by the Permanent Secretary Niger State Ministry Of Youth & Sports, Comr. Yunusa D Tanimu.
