Winger Aminu Umar has said farewell to relegated Çaykur Rizespor Kulübü as his contract at the Yeni Rize Şehir Stadium comes to an end.

The Nigerian joined Karadeniz Atmacası back in 2018 from Osmanlispor, but his time at the club was littered by injuries and criticism from both supporters and the Turkish media for an inability to stay healthy.

He managed 25 appearances during the 2021/22 Super Lig season and is now bracing himself for the next chapter.

In the statement made by the club, it was said, “We would like to thank Aminu Umar, whose contract with our club has expired, for his services and wish him success in his future football career.”
