NK Olimpija Ljubljana are looking to edge ahead of other clubs for the services of Nigeria international Rafiu Ishaq.
After over two years at Rivers United, the 21-year-old will be leaving Port Harcourt when the current Nigeria Professional Football League season ends.
Ishaq has enjoyed a successful 2021/22 season with the Pride of Rivers, scoring 14 goals and providing three assists in 30 appearances.
According to Futbalgalore.com.ng, Olimpija Ljubljana are keeping close tabs on the tricky lad.
Utretch have also been linked with Ishaq in the past but NK Olimpija Ljubljana are believed to be the frontrunners for the winger’s signature.
Roberto Prosinescki is keen to bolster his squad ahead of the 2022-23 campaign, with several African players also understood to be on his list of targets.
Orlando Pirates, Raja Casablanca, Anderlecht, Luzern, Al Ahly Benghazi, Guiresunspor, Banik Ostrava and Santa Clara are also ready to add the Abraysports product to their ranks.
It will be recalled that Ishaq made his debut for Nigeria against Mexico in an international friendly played this year.
