Serie A side Empoli have officially signed Nigeria right-back Tyronne Ebuehi.

Empoli signed the former Twente loanee on a free transfer after he ran down his contract at Benfica.

He inked a three-year deal that will expire on 30th June, 2025.

The club is based in Empoli, Metropolitan City of Florence. Founded in 1920, the side is part of a select group of Italian football clubs that do not belong to a provincial capital city that have participated in the top-flight.

Ebuehi was born in the Netherlands, but plays his international football for Nigeria, and spent last season on loan at Venezia.

The 26-year-old played 19 games at Venezia last term, while he has 10 senior caps for Nigeria.

He is the 10th signing of Empoli’s summer after Guglielmo Vicario, Liberato Cacace, Petar Stojanovic, Mattia Destro, Martín Satriano, Samuele Perisan, Kristjan Asllani, Tommaso Fantacci and Filippo Di Natale.
