Nigeria international Taiwo Awoniyi played his part for Nottingham Forest in a friendly on Saturday.

The striker led the line for the Reds who drew 0-0 with Barnsley in a tough game.

Awoniyi did his best to hold the ball and bring his teammates into the game. His endeavour and ability to bombard the opposition was evident in the goalless draw.

Nurtured by Unicorn Soccer Academy and Imperial Football Academy, the sharp shooter joined Forest from Union Berlin at the summer transfer.

Last season, Awoniyi scored 20 goals in all competitions which made Forest splash £17.5m on his services.

The former Liverpool striker is expected to hit double figures during the 2022/23 Premier League campaign.
