Nigeria international Rafiu Ishaq has pitched tent with Slovenian giants NK Maribor from Rivers United, Futbalgalore.com.ng reports.
He signed a three-year contract.
The 21-year-old moves to the Slovenian PrvaLiga club for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance and receiving his work permit.
Rafiu Ishaq has become Radovan Karanovic’s 11th signing of the summer window after the arrivals of Vladan Vidakovic, Marko Zalokar, Sven Karic, Ivan Brnic, Marko Bozic, Roko Baturina, Belmin Bobaric, Gal Gorenak, Samo Pridgar and Luka Bozickovic.
The player featured for Abraysports, Shooting Stars and Remo Stars before linking up with the Pride of Rivers in 2019.
Ishaq leaves Rivers United after recording 16 goals and six assists in 66 appearances for the club across all competitions.
The Offa-born forward has one international cap for the Nigeria national team and made his debut in May this year in a friendly against Mexico.
