Atalanta are close to sealing a move for winger Ademola Lookman, who has been placed on the transfer list by RB Leipzig.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s side are looking to strengthen their attack a little ahead of the rapidly approaching Serie A season and they need to move fast, with less than a month now until their campaign kicks off against Sampdoria on August 13.
Atalanta have identified the 24-year-old Lookman as a strong option to strengthen their attack. The Nigeria international doesn’t fit in RB Leipzig’s plans. He spent last season on loan with Leicester City.
The Bundesliga outfit want around €15m, figures that Atalanta will undoubtedly try and lower considering his contract expires in 2024.
Last season for Leicester, Lookman scored eight goals and provided five assists in 41 appearances across all competitions. He joined RB Leipzig from Everton in July 2019 in a deal worth around €18m.
