KRC Genk want to keep in-form Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers, Futbalgalore.com.ng reports.
Cremonese and FC Copenhagen have both made checks on Dessers in the summer and are keen on making a move, but Genk are holding firm.
Cyriel Dessers has been sterling for Genk since the season kicked off. The Nigerian star has been directly involved in four of his side’s five goals in the Jupiler League(three goals, one assist).
However, Dessers’ future at Cegeka has been in the balance for months, as since he returned from his impressive loan stint at Feyenoord, talks of a move away from Genk have echoed.
The 27-year-old is said to be keen on a move away from Genk as he doesn’t want to play second fiddle to compatriot Paul Onuachu who has been missing so far as a result of injury.
Genk are wary of mounting interest in Dessers, though, and will try to keep him at the club.
Dessers, a Nigeria international, has a contract at Genk until 2024.
