Russian Premier League club, Spartak Moscow has defined former Super Eagles of Nigeria player, Victor Moses, as the best player in the league to play his position as a winger.
The former Chelsea player who could play as a winger on both flanks and often deployed as a right back joined Spartak Moscow in 2020 on loan before he was signed permanently in 2021.
Spartak Moscow has seen the 31-year-old as an important figure in the team and are planning to hand him a new contract, despite the player’s demand to leave the club, due to the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
“You are operating on rumours. We saw what shape Moses got, and how great he plays,” Spartak Moscow’s press officer Dmitry Zelenov told Championat.
“We now want to talk about Moses in a football way. Moses is one of the best, if not the best, in his position in the RPL.
“We are glad that there is such a player in Spartak. How long will he play for Spartak? I have talked about this many times and I will say it again: the current situation, the situation does not give us a guarantee for any player, except for the Russians.”
