The days of Edith Agoye as Shooting Stars head coach may be numbered as the management of the club is said to have started the process to engage a more competent gaffer to replace the former Nigerian international.

Stars struggled for form during the 2021/22 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season despite massive support from Oyo State Government. But they were lucky to beat the drop.

Consequently, the General Manager of the club, Dimeji Lawal, has come under heavy criticism by football stakeholders in Oyo State who are calling for his head and he in turn is now willing to throw Agoye under the bus.

The Oluyole Warriors have been linked with Kabiru Dogo and Aliyu Zubair in recent weeks.

Gbenga Ogunbote and Imama Amapakabo are available in the market after they recently ended their commitments to Remo Stars and Abia Warriors respectively.
