Daniel Ogunmodede has reunited with Nigeria Professional Football League side Remo Stars, Futbalgalore.com.ng reports.
The former Crown FC tactician was unveiled in Ikenne on Friday.
“Ija Ball” was recently announced as the head coach of the team, replacing erstwhile gaffer Gbenga Ogunbote whose contract with the Sky Blue Stars expired at the end of last season.
While fielding questions from the media, coach Ogunmodede who recently returned from Portugal, where he was the first assistant coach at CD Fereinse, noted that it’s pertinent to to sustain what the club is known for.
He said “The most important thing is to sustain the culture of the team, we are known for developing young ones and taking them to limelight, we also want to win and remain consistent”
“I’m happy to accept the new challenge, it’s a good platform to showcase all I have learnt, particularly in Europe, it’s not a new environment, it’s my domain, I’m back to the fold, though on a bigger platform “
Daniel Ogunmodede will lead the Skye Blue Stars to the continent when the 2023 season of the CAF Confederation Cup begins, he will also lead the Ogun State based side in the Nigeria Professional Football League next season
