John Ogu has joined newly promoted Israeli Liga Leumit outfit Maccabi Kabilio Jaffa.

The Super Eagles midfielder who was without a club after leaving Hapoel Nof HaGalil has finally returned to Israel where he was a champion.

Nurtured by Flying Soccer Academy, Ogu’s career has also seen him play at UD Almeria, Drava Ptuj, Atlético CP, Leiria, Académica, Hapoel Be’er Sheva and Al-Adalah.

The 34-year-old has won the Israeli league in the past when he emerged champions with Hapoel Be’er Sheva for three consecutive seasons.

John Ogu who has also represented the Super Eagles at the Confederations Cup, played at the 2018 World Cup and was a member of the Bronze medal-winning squad in 2019. He has 26 caps for Nigeria.
