Super Eagles central defender Stephen Eze logged 90 minutes as Queen’s Park saw off Cove Rangers 2-1 at Ochilview.

A double from Simon Murray secured victory for the homers on Saturday.

Spiders Head Coach Owen Coyle not surprisingly selected the same starting XI that did so well in last Saturday’s 2-1 success at Arbroath with the substitutes’ bench strengthened with the experience of Jason Naismith and Joshua McPake.

Eze put up a great shift at the back for the Scottish Championship leaders who now have nine points from three games.

The defender joined Queen’s Park from Croatian side NK Solin and penned a two-year contract this summer.

Stephen Eze has previously played for Lokomotiv Plovdiv, Tobol and Jamshedpur FC. He was invited to play for Nigeria for the Chan competition in 2016, led by coach Sunday Oliseh and played all the group games, but the team was eliminated in the first round.
