Wasiu Jimoh bagged a brace as Kwara United defeated Gateway United 2-0 at the Value Jet Cup on Monday morning.

The Azeez Mohammed tutored side showed quality against their less fancied opponent at Remo Stars Stadium.

Former Shooting Stars attacker Wasiu Jimoh banged home the opener, after a cool strike inside the area on seven minutes.

Wasiu turned Oliver Twist and asked for more. He completed his brace with a rebound after his initial effort was saved by goalkeeper Adamu Azeez in the 10th minute.

With the result, Kwara United have five points from three games. As for Gateway United, they have picked four points from same number of matches.
