Super Eagles playmaker Joe Aribo climbed off the bench for Southampton in their Premier League game against Aston Villa on Friday.

The versatile footballer was a second half substitute for the Saints who lost 1-0 at Villa Park.

Aribo gave a good account of himself in the game that Southampton should have taken at least a point.

Since joining Southampton from Rangers, Aribo has struck one goal in the English Premier League.

Jacob Ramsey scored the only goal in the encounter for his team in the 41st minute.

Southampton threw everything at Villa but the host was solid at the back till the referee whistled for full time.

Joe Aribo has played in seven games in the Premier League for Southampton this season.
