Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club, Lobi Stars have denied rumours linking them with ambitious move for iconic Portuguese skipper Cristiano Ronaldo.
Lobi Stars reportedly not considering a move for Cristiano Ronaldo despite the recent speculation surrounding the Portugal international.
The 37-year-old is now officially a free agent, having had his contract at Manchester United terminated, and he will join a new club after representing his country at the 2022 World Cup.
Newcastle United, Sporting Lisbon and Chelsea have been linked with the forward, who has given up in the region of £16m in wages by leaving Man United before his deal expired next summer.
Stars took to the social media to address the rumour.
“Pls be informed that #WeAreLobi is yet to make any contact with representatives of #CristianoRonaldo following his release from @ManUtd,” the club wrote via Facebook.
“We wish him the best & #LobiStars will make no further comment on this.”
