Belgian league leaders KRC Genk today announced the arrival of ex-Flying Eagles winger Yira Sor on a contract till 2027.
The 22-year-old Nigerian forward, who arrives from Slavia Praha, has signed a contract until June 2027 for the current leaders of the Belgian championship.
The former 36 Lion FC of Lagos winger left his native Nigeria for the Czech Republic and Banik Ostrava in February 2021.
Less than a year later, he joined Slavia Praha, where he compiled nine goals and three assists in 26 games in all competitions, including six goals in 10 Conference League games this season.
“Thanks to the combination of speed and technique, he is a poison for all opposing defenses,” wrote the Limburg club in its press release. “His dynamic style of play adds new possibilities to our attacking sector.
Yira Sor will now begin an individual program and will arrive in Wouter Vrancken’s nucleus after a short break observed at the end of the calendar year.
He has been handed jersey number 14.
