Nigeria international Michael Ologo contributed his quota to the victory of Istanbulspor in the Turkish Super Lig week 19 on Sunday, Futbalgalore.com.ng reports.

The central defender was a second half entrant as the visitors defeated Ümraniyespor 2-0 at Ümraniye Hekimbaşı Şehir Stadyumu.

Istanbulspor scored thanks to Valon Ethemi and Melin Kabasakal in the 30th and 45th minutes respectively.

With the visiting team needing stability at the back, coach Fatih Tekke switched to three at the back with the introduction of Ologo.

Ologo, 19, was a 78th minute replacement for Emir Kaan Gültekin.

With the result, Istanbulspor are now 18th on the Turkish Super Lig table. They have picked 15 points from 18 games.

Michael Ologo who has made seven league appearances this season is expected to link up with the Flying Eagles team on 23rd January for the TotalEnergies U20 Africa Cup of Nations.
