Head Coach of the newly crowned Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions Enugu Rangers, Fidelis Ilechukwu recently paid a visit to the Ikeja training ground of Lagos based non-league side, G-Innovation Football Club.
Ilechukwu, who was on ground for two days to watch the young players of the highly-rated amateur side, and is equally renowned for his penchant of going deep into the grassroots to unearth talented youngsters, expressed his satisfaction with the talents and qualities of the players, as well as, their dedication to the game.
The former gaffer of the defunct MFM football club, went on to remind the players of the grass to grace stories of many successful footballers.
He advised them to remain disciplined, focused and hardworking.
The former Heartland Boss mused that there are no quicker route to the top, without imbibing the ethos of success.
President of G-Innovation football club, Chigozie Nwagu, expressed his gratitude to Ilechukwu, who is fondly called Kamara by his admirers, for coming out to visit and mentor his players.
The young club owner went on to state that he is ready and willing to work with football technocrats to ensure a brighter future for the players and the team.
