Serie A club, Napoli are growing more confident that Victor Osimhen’s agent will convince PSG to pay more than €100m, while Romelu Lukaku is holding out for Antonio Conte.
Lukaku is eager to join his former coach at Napoli, but Chelsea is demanding at least €35m for his transfer. Napoli must first sell Osimhen before making a move for Lukaku.
Agent Roberto Calenda is currently in Paris negotiating with PSG, and reports suggest that the French club is willing to pay just over €100m. This amount falls short of his €130m release clause, but PSG sees it as a necessary compromise due to limited options.
After Osimhen inked the fresh deal in December 2023, many believed that Premier League teams would be eager to trigger the clause. However, they ended up pursuing different options.
Once PSG secures the Nigerian, Napoli can make a move for Lukaku, who happens to be the sole striker Conte desires.
