Newcastle United have made contact with Chelsea to discuss a summer deal for attacker Noni Madueke, according to a report.
The 22-year-old enjoyed mixed success in the 2023-24 campaign, making 34 appearances in all competitions and coming up with eight goals and three assists.
Amid fierce competition for starts out wide, Madueke only played 13 Premier League matches from the first whistle in 2023-24.
However, the Nigerian born attacker made nine of those starts in Chelsea’s final nine matches of the new term, although it remains to be seen how he fares under new boss Enzo Maresca.
Madueke’s deal at Stamford Bridge runs until the summer of 2030 with the option of an additional 12 months, but according to Football Insider, the 22-year-old is now the subject of interest from Newcastle.
