President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Ibrahim Gusau has hailed Mallam Shehu Dikko’s appointment as Chairman of the National Sports Commission, NSC, by President Bola Tinubu.
Gusau’s eulogy of Dikko is contained in a release from the communications department of the NFF.
“On behalf of the NFF and the entire Nigeria football fraternity, I warmly and heartily congratulate Mallam Shehu Dikko on this huge national assignment…I have no doubt that he has the knowledge, skill, experience, steadfastness, temperament, diligence and intelligence to make a success of the National Sports Commission”, the statement read in part.
The statement adds: “He is a man full of meaningful and positive ideas, and the Nigeria Football Federation will surely work together with him to take our football to new heights of excellence.”
Dikko led the League Management Company of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL for eight years between 2014 and 2022, championing innovations like the NPFL TV and attracting the NPFL/LaLiga partnership that brought about the Under 15 Youth League.
