Rangers International’s renaissance is not stopping anytime soon as the Enugu-based outfit has hit another milestone with its recognition by United Nations as a new member of the Football For The Goals Initiative.
The Flying Antelopes confirmed the news on social media earlier today and shared their certificate of membership which accompanied the post.A follow-up statement read:
“We are delighted to announce that Rangers International Football Club Enugu has been accepted as a member of the United Nations Football For The Goals Initiative. This significant milestone underscores our commitment to leveraging the power of football to promote sustainable development and positive change in our community and beyond”.
While expressing its gratitude to the forum and its umbrella body, the UN, the statement added:”Together, we believe in the potential of football as a force for good and we look forward to making a lasting impact…”.
The 2023/2024 NPFL champions have witnessed remarkable changes and have attracted huge partnerships and sponsorships under current Chief Executive Officer and General Manager, Amobi Ezeaku.
From the kit sponsorship with Afrinvest, to the partnership with Nortra Tractors among others, Rangers have been hitting new heights recently.
Increased social media awareness and engagement have both contributed to improved attendance at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu in the team’s home games.
Fidelis Ilechukwu’s charges will be away at Kwara United in a match-day nine NPFL clash in Illorin on Sunday before returning to the “Cathedral” to face Nasarawa United on Sunday, November 3.
