Chief Nwabali Nominated for CAF Goalkeeper of the Year Award

Nigeria international Chief Stanley Nwabali has been nominated for the CAF Goalkeeper of the year Award following an impressive Africa Cup of Nations campaign.

Chief Nwabali played a crucial role in Super Eagles’ second place run at the last Africa Cup of Nations campaign, keeping three clean sheets in seven games.

The 28-year-old Nigerian goalkeeper will face competition for the award from several top keepers, including Cameroon’s André Onana, Algeria’s Oussama Benbot, Tunisia’s AmanAllah Memiche, South Africa’s Ronwen Williams, Morocco’s Munir el Kajoui, Egypt’s Mostafa Shobeir, Mali’s Djigui Diarra, and Ivory Coast’s Yahia Fofana.

The awards ceremony is set to take place in Morocco on December 16, 2024.
