Galatasaray Deputy President Declares Club’s Ambition to Sign Victor Osimhen Permanently

Galatasaray Deputy President Abdallah Kavukcu has stated that the Turkish champions possess the financial capability to secure Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen on a permanent deal, despite the potential challenges.

Osimhen, 25, has been a revelation since joining Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli. The Nigerian forward, who was sidelined at Napoli before his move, has reignited his career in Turkey, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in just nine appearances.

His performances have made him an instant fan favorite and the face of Galatasaray’s attack. Amid growing speculation about a permanent transfer, reports suggest Galatasaray are considering a €50 million bid for the prolific striker.

However, concerns linger over the club’s ability to manage both Osimhen’s transfer fee and his high salary, which could strain their finances.

In a Thursday interview, Kavukcu dismissed doubts about Galatasaray’s financial strength, asserting that the club is capable of making bold moves in the transfer market.

“If Galatasaray wants a player, we will be at that table,” Kavukcu said, as reported by Forza Cimbom. “Galatasaray has the power to make the right transfers at the points determined by our coach. We have the power to buy more Osimhens.”

Despite Galatasaray’s ambitions, Osimhen’s priority reportedly remains a move to a top club in one of Europe’s elite leagues, which could complicate efforts to keep him in Turkey.

For now, Osimhen’s performances continue to fuel Galatasaray’s dominance in the Turkish Süper Lig, but his long-term future remains uncertain.
