Gateway United has announced the appointment of Festus Allen as the head coach for the upcoming 2024/2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
The announcement took place during a ceremony at the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode, which was officiated by Hon. Wasiu Isiaka, the Ogun State Commissioner for Sports Development.
Coach Allen will be joined in the technical team by Shakiru Lawal, Emmanuel Bamidele, and Michael Soniregun.
With a solid background in coaching, Allen has previously managed teams such as 3SC, ABSFC, MFM FC, Bayelsa United, Ijebu United, the now-defunct COD and Sharks, as well as Cynosure and Ijebu United.
His coaching philosophy emphasizes building a competitive team with the potential to excel on the international stage. Allen’s deep understanding of the game and commitment to high standards resonate well with the goals of Gateway United.
